Frequently Asked Questions


By default, Unified Write Manager [UWF] is set to Disabled in Windows 10. (UWF replaces EWF from Windows 7)

To update UWF:

  • Right-click over the Start button and select Control Panel.
  • Select Thinlabs UWF Manager (32-Bit).
  • Click Yes to allow the program to make changes.
  • Update the Current State to either Disabled or Enabled.
  • After updating, click OK at the reboot required prompt.
  • Reboot the system.

To change the screen orientation between Portrait and Landscape format:

  • Right-click the Start Button and select Mobility Center
  • Under Screen Orientation, click Rotate Screen as required

  • Is the USB port in working condition?
  • Does a different device work in the same USB port?
  • Does the same USB device work in a different USB port?
  • Are the devices designed for only USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 compatibility?

Press 'F2' to enter BIOS and 'F10' to exit BIOS on Thinlabs Dualcore-based systems (TL2100, TL2200, TL6000, TL7400, TL8300, TL8400 models).

Press 'DEL' to enter BIOS and 'F4' to exit BIOS on TL2300, TL2420, TL2440, TL8500, TL8600, TL8620 models.

Press 'DEL' to enter BIOS and 'F10' to exit BIOS on TL2530, TL2640, TL8510, TL8610 models.

Is the storage device detected?  Start up the system and go into BIOS.  Check the Boot menu to see if the proper disk is detected.

  • If No, then the disk is defective - request an RMA for replacement.
  • If Yes, then exit BIOS, and at the GRUB menu, check to ensure the proper OS is being loaded.  If the OS quits while loading, contact your company's support team for instructions on how to reimage your system

If the battery on your ADITI Mobile Computer for Medcarts is partially charged, and the system is not turning on, try the following:

  • Unplug the battery.
  • Press the reset button.
  • Plug the battery into the battery charger (DO NOT PLUG THE CHARGER INTO THE COMPUTER).
  • Charge the battery to full strength (this could take up to 5 hours).
  • Reconnect the battery to the system.
